ACTs

Since October 14th 2008, the AS/AQ co-formulated fixed dose combination from Sanofi-Aventis, in partnership with DNDi, is prequalified by the WHO. See the WHO prequalification page for details.
The following ACTs are currently recommended by WHO for the treatment of uncomplicated falciparum malaria (alphabetical order):
- artemether-lumefantrine,
- artesunate + amodiaquine,
- artesunate + mefloquine,
- artesunate + sulfadoxine–pyrimethamine.
