Description of group:
The purpose of the RBM Vector Control Working Group (WIN) is to facilitate alignment of partners on strategy and ‘best practice’ to rapidly scale-up malaria vector control interventions particularly insecticide treated nets (ITNs) and indoor residual spraying (IRS) in order to meet targets for malaria control.
Overview:
WIN aims to develop a consensus on strategic issues for going to scale with ITNs (LLINs), IRS and other malaria vector control methods and share best practices. It also identifies emerging research questions and needs related to going to scale and communicate these to appropriate partners. Finally it promotes public-private partnerships for innovation in malaria vector control, including development of new products and production capacity.
