RBM Partnership Board

RBM stakeholders are represented by 21 voting Board members. The Board also includes four non-voting ex officio members.

Board members (countries, institutions) serve as representatives of their constituencies. Members may appoint one alternate member to serve in their stead. Constituencies determine rotational or renewable status. The Board members sit on the Board for two years.

Regional mechanisms such as WHO Regional Committees are used for the identification of representatives of the malaria endemic country constituency.

All official acts of Board members shall be deemed to be taken in their capacity as representatives of their respective constituencies.

Mr Kapembwa Simbao, Honorable Minister of Health of Zambia, has been elected in May 2009 as Chairman of the RBM Partnership Board. Vice chair is Matthew Lynch, Program Director, Global Program on Malaria Johns Hopkins University.

Next RBM Partnership Board meeting is scheduled for 12-14 May 2010 in Geneva, Switzerland.
