This year's commemoration of Africa Malaria day will take place in countries across Africa and activities will be supported by a range of partners - WHO, Unicef, multi/bi-lateral agencies, international, national and local NGOs, and the private sector.
The primary audience for events and activities will be regional policymakers, media, public health workers, civil society groups and communities affected by malaria, highlighting the vital role of joint efforts to fight malaria and to ensure maximal international commitment and resources to do so.

AFRICA
End of March until April 10th - Niger, Zanzibar (Tanzania) and Burundi: Journalist visits to countries where Global Fund grants have been used successfully.
April 25th - Somalia and Ethiopia: UNICEF will hold activities to commemorate the day in Somalia and support national events in Ethiopia.
The month of April - Across Africa: Rebroadcast of the AFRICA LIVE concert in 45 countries (to be confirmed)
May - Tanzania: UNDP & UN planning to deliver nets bought from proceeds from United Against Malaria Concert in Geneva.
