Policies and Strategies
This section of the RBM toolbox provides users with a number of documents to help in different areas of intervention policies and strategies for malaria control programs and projects. Policies typically provide direction for “what to do,” and strategies provide direction for “how to do it” (e.g., target populations, prioritization, differences relevant to different malaria-endemicity or different parasites [P. falciparum versus P. vivax]).
Because international policy development largely rests within the World Health Organization (WHO), and strategy development is supported by both WHO and the RBM Partnership, most of the documents have been collected from these sources. In some cases, individual countries have developed additional guidance on policies and strategies. We do wish to thank all the involved partners who participated in the process of policy and strategy development.
