Keeping Malaria High on the Agenda

RBM partners met at the World Bank in Washington, DC from 1-3 September to catalyse intensified global advocacy efforts for malaria. Representatives from malaria-endemic countries, bilateral donors, nongovernmental organizations, the private sector, foundations, academia, research organizations, UN agencies (UNICEF and the World Health Organization), the World Bank, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and the Roll Back Malaria Partnership Secretariat began collaboration on a comprehensive global strategy for increased malaria advocacy in order to ensure that this devastating disease remains high on the international agenda despite competing global health issues and increasing demand for limited resources.
