WWARN WWARN Regional Scientific Director, East Africa
Location: KEMRI/Wellcome Trust Unit, Nairobi, Kenya
The post-holder will lead the WWARN East Africa Regional Centre and be the local contact for WWARN in the East African Region. S/he will oversee WWARN’s technical and scientific activities across the region and manage a small team that includes a Regional Liaison Scientist, a Statistician, Data Manager, and an Administrator.

MCDI MCDI: Malaria Case Management Officer
The Case Management Officer (CMO) is responsible for the development, implementation, technical backstopping and coordination of MCDI’s activities in the field of malaria case management at hospital and health center levels and at the patient and/or caretaker level. The CMO oversees the BIMCP’s capacity building activities (relating to malaria detection and case management) within the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and ensures close collaboration between project staff and the MOH staff seconded to the project. The CMO is also responsible for back-stopping the Health Management Information System.

The STA for Malaria will provide programmatic direction to CRS for all Malaria projects in particular those supported with resources from the Global Funds and the President's Malaria Initiative (PMI). The Senior Technical Advisor (STA) will: 1) provide strategic leadership and coordination for CRS' malaria technical support and programming initiatives; 2) provide technical support to CRS headquarters departments, regional offices and country programs as needed; and, 3) represent CRS within and outside of the agency with regard to malaria. Qualifications include: DrPH, MD, PhD, DNSc preferred, or Masters degree and equivalent experience, in Public Health or related field; eight to 15 years of relevant international working experience in an advisory or management role, preferably with five to seven years' developing country field experience in designing and implementing ITN related, treatment and behavior change communication activities in malaria control programs.
