Forum V - "Unite Against Malaria"

The Roll Back Malaria Partnership convened, together with the Ministry of Health of Cameroon and back-to-back with the 4th Multilateral Initiative for Malaria Pan-African Conference, the fifth Partners' Forum from November 18-19, 2005 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Forum V assessed overall progress of the RBM Partnership activities to date and identified areas where the global malaria response (i.e. prevention, control, research and program implementation) can be improved and optimally coordinated to fully support and respond to the needs of at-risk-populations, especially children, pregnant women, people living in emergency situations, and people living with HIV/AIDS. The Forum also provided a platform for dialogue and outlined the response required from the global malaria community over the next 10 years to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Forum V participants committed themselves to work together to rapidly scale-up action against malaria.
