African health ministers met on 14-15 May 2004 in Geneva, Switzerland to discuss the progress made in implementing the 2003 Maputo Declaration on Malaria, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Other Related Infectious Diseases (2003). The Ministers resolved, among other things, to increase mobilization of domestic resources in order to meet health-sector targets and to demonstrate that the international assistance received from partners is being well utilised.
