AFRICA MALARIA DAY 2002
WHAT'S GOING ON?

Around Africa people organized events and activities for the run up to April 25th and on Africa Malaria Day itself.

Private partners

Throughout Africa RBM's private partners joined in the celebrations for Africa Malaria Day.

Private partners who arranged events include: Aventis, BASF, Bayer, Dow AgroSciences, ExxonMobil, GlaxoSmithKline, Mitsui Chemicals, Novartis, Quality Chemicals, SiamDutch, Sumito Chemical, Shell and Syngenta.

They organised a huge range of events including :

organising football games,
producing billboards,
planning press releases,
putting on mosquito net displays,
placing editorials in magazines and newspapers,
printing leaflets and banners,
organising awards for community workers,
placing Africa Malaria Day hyperlinks on their corporate websites,
holding employee awareness activities,
issuing press releases announcing new corporate malaria programs,
holding awards ceremonies honouring community health workers,
making presentations to schools,
placing malaria jingles on radio and TV,
creating special malaria webpages,
printing RBM t-shirts.
